1. Energy & Stage Presence
● The set must maintain strong physical energy and presence throughout the set.
○ This can ultimately change with mixing and go through an array of different
emotions, but it must be consistent and well executed.

● (If a video example is submitted) The DJ engages with the audience confidently and
commands attention.
○ If a video is provided, the body language and movement should align with the
energy and rhythm of the music and the Burn Energy Tour ethos.

2. Genre Alignment
● The track selection remains consistent with the overarching high energy genre allocated to a
specific tour stop.
● The DJ demonstrates a clear understanding and respect for the genre’s culture and sound.
● The overall set reflects authenticity and genre-appropriate style.
3. Mixing & Technical Skills
● Transitions are smooth, precise, and in rhythm or key.
● The DJ uses a variety of different, EQs, loops, and other tools creatively and with control and
in an audibly pleasing fashion.
● The technical execution enhances the performance without overpowering it.
4. Track Selection & Flow
● The DJ selects tracks that are impactful, exciting, and fresh, whilst appropriate for the genre
and not too intense as to avoid impeding on the headliner and the progression of music
throughout the night.

● The performance takes the crowd on a journey, building energy effectively.
5. Crowd Reaction & Interaction
● The DJ should connect with the audience and adjust to their energy.

● There is a clear sense of personal style or flair in the performance.

○ Ideally through their brand image on social media and reputation in their local scene.

○ If the submitting DJ has any of their own tracks in their mix, they should sound
coherent and consistent with the genre, quality and execution of the rest of the set.
● Integration of live elements, visuals, custom producer tags and/or custom stage presence.
● Branding elements like custom intros/outros or vocal tags.
○ The DJ should not have had any previous mainstream branded experience. Local and
scene brand involvement should be reviewed on a case by case basis and agreed

The winner of the competition will receive the incredible opportunity to DJ live at an international location on one of the Burn Energy Tour 2025 tour stops. This will include travel, accommodation, global visibility through Mixmag, Burn Energy and [PARTNER NAME] media channels, payment for your time DJing and a chance to perform in front of an audience in Bucharest, Budapest, Gdansk or Valencia (however, we will always have your home country as the preferred location).
2. How do I enter the competition?

3. Who is eligible to enter the competition?

4. What do I need to submit to enter?

You need to submit a DJ mix (audio or video format) of your performance. Please ensure the mix is at least an hour long, as either a FLAC, WAV or MP3 formatted audio fi le.
